One of my greatest strengths is my ability to spot emerging trends and adapt to the ever changing ways we consume content. My journey began over a decade ago. While working in the medical device sales world, I saw an opportunity around the explosion of Youtube. I made a calculated move and shifted careers to the world of TV / Film production. Shortly after, with a little elbow grease, hustle, and some good fortune, I shot, edited and directed a segment for Travel Channel's 'America's Scariest Haunted Attractions'. The show received rave reviews and ratings. With its success, I caught the bug big time and haven't looked back. Since then, I have held a variety of roles; from field producer for reality TV, a camera operator for a Sundance nominated film, video director, to marketing lead for a number of projects large and small.
I've consulted for production companies, advertising agencies, social media influencers, start-ups, non profits and Fortune 500 clients. I have every ability to overcome obstacles and problem solve while keeping a positive mindset throughout the process.
Marketing short form video content is where I live and breathe, and has been for over a decade. With my $300 camcorder in hand, I was working with platforms such as Yelp, facebook and Youtube before they were the mainstays they are today.
A few years ago, while I was directing projects and working as a consultant for traditional video projects, I saw a new trend emerging in 360 and VR video. By February of 2015, I was on set shooting a first of its kind music video with an early 16 GoPro VR camera rig. Once again, I found myself in the center of a marketing and content revolution. By 2016, I was nominated for two Samsung Creator Awards - one for my music video and the second for an automotive piece. From there, I shot and directed one of the first 360 livestreams on Youtube for Machinima of a notorious haunted house in Oklahoma City, which was an amazing challenge. The livestream project required incredible innovation and granular budget management, it was the epitome of “Guerrilla Marketing” and was a tremendous success across all metrics.
Outside of work, since returning to NY from Los Angeles, I live on the south shore of Long Island were I am renovating a wild farm house with my wife, two amazing kids and two funny dogs. I am an avid open water ocean swimmer and completed the NYC triathlon in 2015 and I’m doing it again in the summer of 2019. Music and entertainment have always been a passion of mine, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to merge my interests with my work.
